LagarDUO

LagarDuo is composed of Alexander Muñoz and Vicente Moreno, our project was born in 2022. We initially crossed paths in Santiago de Chile, while studying for our Bachelor's degree in Classical Guitar. Throughout those formative years, our musical collaboration flourished in diverse chamber music settings, having already worked together in duo format, in guitar orchestras and toghether with chamber orchestras. Now in Germany, we are once again together in a duo project, exploring new horizons in Chamber Music and expanding into musical fusion, experimenting with new possibilities. Our current concert production aims to explore and tension the dynamic relationship between written music, improvisation, and live electronics.

Our concerts incorporate improvisation, original compositions, live electronics and multiple instruments, while at the same time having the classical guitar sound in the center. We are currently presenting our latest work, a musical interpretation of Lagar, a book by Chilean poet Gabriela Mistral. We’ve already released the first couple pieces of this album on digital platforms, with video versions on Youtube. We aim to break down the barriers inside the guitar music, also ocassionally weaving into our program music of Latin American tradition/fusion and original arrangements. We try to find a space where all the voices of our instrument can meet and be celebrated.
